Wirral Coronavirus helpline

A coronavirus helpline (0151 666 5050)  has been set up to support residents, by providing advice and guidance on a range of service, community and business issues. The helpline is an excellent way to maintain contact with those who can’t readily access our websites or social media.

Family Support Team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital

Wirral University Teaching hospital (WUTH) has launched a Family Support Team to help patients and their families stay in contact with each other or provide emotional support to family members before and following a bereavement. The team of staff will be supporting relatives, offering updates about the hospital or sign posting to other areas externally, including current guidance on COVID-19 or relevant helplines.

The team will also be able to share messages to and from patients and their loved ones. They offer an email service contact, which includes the facility to print off keepsakes such as children’s drawings, photographs etc, telephone contact through our helplines. There is also a facility to record video messages to share with a patient from families and vice versa.
