Phlebotomy

From the 1st July 2018 we our now glad to say we can now offer phlebotomy appointments at the surgery. Clinics will be held at the surgery for our patients. You will now no longer be able to use the phlebotomy hubs to have your blood tests taken.

Home visit blood testsThis is strictly for housebound patients only. 

If you are not housebound you will be asked to come to the surgery to have your blood tests. Please contact the surgery on 0151 638 4764 to arrange for your blood visit.

Childhood Development Surveillance

Examinations are undertaken at six weeks by doctors, if you have a young baby you will be sent an appointment automatically. It is vital that you register new babies with the practice as soon as possible.

Childhood Immunisations

Routine immunisations are a very important part of preventive medicine it is strongly recommended that your child has all the immunisations recommended in the red book, which you receive when the baby is born. Your baby’s first vaccination appointment will automatically be sent to you.

Ante-Natal Clinic

Held and booked in the surgery by the midwife every Tuesday morning.

Asthma Clinic

Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) patients are encouraged to understand the disease and treatment. Spirometry is performed regularly to check patient lung function. Please see receptionist to book an appointment with the nurse and to book your routine reviews with Dr Fischler.

Diabetic Clinic

The practice offers an enhanced service for diabetic patients with Dr Staples.

Smoking Cessation

You are four times more likely to stop smoking with the help of ABL Wirral, who can provide tobacco and nicotine users with free, effective and flexible access to support to help them quit.

The service is for anyone who wishes to quit smoking, using chewing tobacco, shisha or electronic cigarettes. Those wanting to stop can get quick and free access to support sessions and approved medicines to help
